RESEARCH INTEREST AREAS<\/strong>
\nI have been involved in research since 2006. During that time, I have focused on seven inter-related areas:
\n\u2022 System reform and system leadership; community leadership,; School and organisational leadership; school leaders leadership;
\n\u2022 Research into the job description of head teachers and aspiring leaders;
\n\u2022 Research into the extent to which school leaders experience the full range of leadership development opportunities (i.e. what the proportions of current leadership development opportunities are);
\n\u2022 Research which seeks to observe current leadership development practices;
\n\u2022 Social Justice in Education
\n\u2022 How a Cameroonian leadership development process is implemented and what its content might be;
\n\u2022 Global Implications of effective management and leadership training programmes.
\nMy work and particularly my publications (see Publication Section) have received international recognition (see below).<\/p>\n

Frederick Ebot Ashu is a Senior Lecturer of Educational Foundation and Administration. Prior to this he was a lecturer of Philosophy of Social Science and Ethics in Research and Research Methods in Education at the University of Birmingham and a Senior Research Officer for 12 years at Community Advice an Support Services (CAASS UK) where he research and taught courses on: System reform and system leadership; community leadership; School and organisational leadership; school leaders leadership. He has pioneered projects across the United Kingdom and Cameroon in these domains. He has published over 4 peer-reviewed papers and four authored books and has held fellowship with the Associaton of Commonwealth Universities.
\nHis most recent academic research is about the Effectiveness of School Leadership and management Development in Cameroon. This interest was further researched and explored and reported on in an academic textbook published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. He presented his work at more than 10 international conferences. He is the founder and Vice President of the Cameroon Council for Educational Leadership and Management Society (CCELMS). He is the founding editor of the International Journal like the Educational Leadership and Management Studies (ELMS) funded by the Association of the Commonwealth Universities. He has reviewing research applications in Educational Leadership and Management Studies (ELMS) and International Studies in Educational Administration (ISEA) and International Journal of Leadership in Education (IJLE).<\/p>\n
