Admission 2023 Open

“The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea informs the public that application forms for admission into undergraduate degree programmes of the Faculty of Arts, ASTI,Faculty of Education, Faculty of Laws and Political Science, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Social and Management Science  for the 2023/2024 academic year are now available.

The closing date for submission of completed applications is  04 September 2023.

Interested candidates should consult the University of Buea website (go  to the ADMISSION link) for admission requirements and follow the procedures for online application.

Candidates are reminded that the minimum entry requirements are:

  • A pass in at least two subjects in the G.C.E.Advanced Level, and  a pass in at least four subjects (including English Language) in the Ordinary Level.
  • Students whose first language of instruction is not English, and those who do not have a pass in English Language at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level, must pass a prescribed English Language test.

Admission details for the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (ASTI), Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, College of Technology, Faculty of Health Sciences and the Higher Technical Teachers’ Training College will be published later in accordance with their specific requirements and in conformity with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education (MINESUP)”.

Note:

Applicants into the Faculty  of Arts, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Laws and Political Science, Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences will choose the “General Admission” option  during the application process.

On the other hand, applicants into the College of Technology,Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the Faculty  of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine will select the “Entrance Exam”  option during the online application process.

Prospective applicants could however apply for both General admission and Entrance exam depending on their needs as both processes are  independent of each other. The advantage of this is that it increases their chances of admission into the University.
