Personal Summary
Nde D Nguti is a lecturer of Physics and Computer Engineering at the University of Buea. My research presently involves the use of packaged open source software as a tool to advance Africa into the digital age without high expenditure. In a sense the question is: Proprietary software has to be bought and licenses maintained yearly. Open source software is free. Most proprietary software has its open source counterpart. Why are African countries not taking up open source software in a bit to fast forward themselves to the digital age?
